With 5,326 fans in attendance, the Rochester RazorSharks’ comeback attempt was thwarted as Vermont’s Troy Jackson scored 18 second half points to lead the Frost Heaves to their second win of the season 105-99. 

After starting the game down 10-0, the RazorSharks battled back. Despite a career-worst day for Keith Friel beyond the arc, he scored 10 first quarter points, which included his only two 3-pointers to take a 31-25 lead after the first period. However, the Frost Heaves outscored Rochester 29-20 in the second quarter as Jackson poured in 16 first half points to take a 54-51 lead into the half.  Friel set a career-worst 11 missed 3-pointers, which proved be a big difference in the game.

Jackson started the second half with the hot hand, hitting four 3-pointers for Vermont as they maintained their lead 81-73. The RazorSharks were down by 14 points when they started their comeback. Donielle Davis scored eight fourth quarter points as Rochester got to within four points before falling short and were denied their 100th franchise win.

The Frost Heaves are the first team to beat the RazorSharks twice at home. It was only the third time that Rochester has lost two games in a row. The Frost Heaves were involved in all three losing streaks.  They also set records for most 3-pointers attempted as a Rochester opponent with 41 attempts and Vermont's Troy Jackson set a RazorSharks opponent record of nine 3-pointers made in a game (Randy Gill - 7 (Maryland - 2008 season)

The RazorSharks (5-2) had five players score in double figures including Keith Friel (16), Lincoln Smith (13), Donielle Davis (12), Jerice Crouch (10) and Eric Walton (10). Vermont’s (2-4) Ross Demasi recorded a double-double, grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring 20 points. Marcus Austin also scored 20 points, while Troy Jackson finished with 34 points including nine 3-pointers.
