Democrat and Chronicle Staff Report • April 15, 2010

Derik Hollyfield scored a team-high 23 points off the bench to lead the Rochester RazorSharks to a 119-95 win over the Puerto Rico Capitanes in the opening round of the Premier Basketball League playoffs Wednesday in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Keith Friel finished with 18 points for the R-Sharks, who took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series.

"It was a very important win, one that obviously puts us in position to keep going," said Rochester coach Rod Baker. "We stole one that people might not think we could get."
